Does anyone use Zend Framework along with another type of framework, like an open source forum? I have a Simple Machines Forum and am working with Zend Framework but I'm not sure what the best way is to integrate authentication and authorization.

My current thinking is to use the SMF register Server Side Includes available, and maintain the distinct login/logout/authorize methods in SMF and the ZF parts of the site but point them to the same DB table.
