This strikes me as premature. There's nothing I watch on YouTube that I would pay even $1/month for. I would just find free channels instead, or do without.

This is the sort of model I've wished cable could offer for years. I'm part of a growing segment that has dropped cable altogether, opting to watch stuff on Hulu or DVDs instead. Youtube doesn't offer what even Hulu does. I just don't think it's time for this yet. YouTube needs more exciting content first.
