I think that's the key and many of us are in a fight to the end with the millions of others who find a $100 income per month a near fortune.

My previous contract work as a system tester paid mega bucks 15 year ago, I financed two expensive divorces on it and walked away relatively unharmed. Then came the competition from offshore competition in my profession and the market all but dried up. The accountants gained control and quality and long term results flew out of the window.

How to compete with others who would work 20 hours a day for what appeared to me to be peanuts? I gave up and turned to developing my own websites.

Accept that there is this competition (and they have every right to join the party on their own terms) and work out how to compete with them.
