Clearly you have never read Terry Pratchett's Jingo. There is a fairly long episode involving getting a donkey to come down from the top of a tower where it has no room to turn around :)

Gotta observe that "don't" and "can't" are different things. You and I don't walk backwards as a normal means of locomotion, cats don't normally swim, et cetera...
