Nice acquisition of local market intelligence: Google will now have access to a significant quantity of local deals, not just the social marketing daily deals, but also restaurant, grocery and other shopping and store deals, and the huge, loyal and growing local audience that seeks out those deals.
Interestingly, a service of DealMap, which allowed users and businesses to submit deals for inclusion seems to have been immediately cancelled immediately with the acquisition by Google.
We will no longer support user and business submitted deals on our website or mobile apps. Business owners who want to submit deals to Google Offers for consideration can submit deals here [services.google.com ]
