This is why I don't understand the stock market any more.

Nobody does except those that always get paid (regardless if it's up or down).
That whole thing exists only so they can make the money with other people's money.
If you catch something - good for you and them.
If not - who cares about you (except you) - they still get their fees and bonuses.
