Are you using the mere existence of examples of bad work to justify the destruction of *all* journalistic work, good and bad? Some people simply write down what's being said at press conferences. Those people are not really journalists, they are recording machines. Is every journalist like that? No. Will every journalist be laid off after AdSense "newspapers" take over? Yes. The kind of writing and research we should brace for is 500-word "articles" produced at $5 a piece in south-east Asia by people who describe themselves in their resumes as a "professional editor having many experiences writing for reputed companies" (this is not an exaggeration).
Is rewriting press releases and government announcements such hard work? Its not as if journalists do any fact checking, investigation or worthwhile analysis these days.
