Any affiliate using Adwords to make money would be wary to signup with Google's affiliate network (imho).

I can see how that would be difficult to square the circle, but that really depends on how affiliates change add value by mashing up content or adding their own or controlling a niche.

The logical endpoint here is that Adsense is largely replaced with Affiliate based revenue instead of click based revenue.
