Great! As of today I'm still a bit worried about it. I could really benefit from using the full page ad, but part of me thinks Google will hate my site for using that type of ad.

So in your experience, you've used full page ads on your site and there were no ranking issues?

I know Google is on this speed obsessed and how does a full page splash ad bother them? Perhaps in the past they didn't have issues with a full page ad, but has that all changed recently? It's a risk because any negative in rankings means less traffic. That means less income overall from the site. Honestly the full page ads are a great opportunity in many instances with dine and dash traffic. I'm just so damn paranoid about Google these days. Sheesh.
