I'm exploring the idea of buying traffic and would like something like: *cityname* keyword Where city is any town or city in the United States, and keyword is "plumber, attorney, dentist, and any of 100 other verticals. Plus, I would like the text ads to say something like. Find KEYWORD in *cityname* and save! Maps, Coupons, etc. Click to visit. (something to this extent) Do I really need to sit down with excel files and produce campaigns that include every possible combination or is there a way to buy wildcard campaigns? Likewise, we'd like the ads to use the wildcards in the url so that it brings up relevant pages. ie: site dot com/*cityname*/keyword/ I've seen Google Ads that appear to have this type of campaign, but I don't know if this is a feature, or if someone generated dozens of excel files and uploaded them. Can I do this in Adwords? Does anybody have any experience with this? What is the average CPC? Ultimately we have to earn money from the traffic, but I know that this can be a whole other discussion.
My client has a nationwide phone/business business profile directory.
