Page is a not externally linkable

I am thinking of changing the names of my pages to make them more descriptive and search engine friendly. I will then set up 301 redirects for these pages. What I am wondering is how this affects ppc campaigns. All my destination urls with the ppcs will still be set to the old page names. Do I need to change these urls to the new names or will Google etc be happy with the 301 redirect?
