We use Clickriver, and they work well for us on our sites that accept Amazon payments as it is Amazon traffic.
The conversion on our sites that have standard checkout have below average results with Clickriver.

Just the same traffic from MSN will not convert on our Amazon sites but will get really pull in high conversions on our standard sites.

Overall is guess the best thing is to offer as many different processors and methods together without confusing the buyer.

2Checkout does a fairly good job of this, not that I would use 2Checkout, but just as an example of a checkout system.
