Ah memories...Looksmart was like this, tons of traffic with no conversion. Tried to figure out why anyone would advertise for clicks who would not convert on sales from any affiliate site who would sign up, porn, junk you name it. It was mostly comparison shopping engines, ie sites which charge more for their clicks then the cheap engine one. One click coming in to a page with 20 products may get a more expensive click then your advertised click or kind of thing.
