---- Non-sticky footer affecting wrapper positioning

Megalith - 10:27 pm on Feb 25, 2012 (gmt 0)

This is pretty strange.

I have a footer on my page that isn't contained within a wrapper. Everything is fine as long as there is enough content within the wrapper to push the footer to the bottom of the page, but if there isn't, the positioning of elements within the wrapper changes.

It just seems to be a minor shift of a couple of pixels, but why would this happen? Is there a way to get a footer to stick to the bottom of the page even when it is outside of a wrapper?
