Ditto. I'd hesitate to use javascript for an essential part of page content. It's not just decoration; it's information the user needs to have. At a minimum, put in a <noscript> piece saying something generic like "all text copyright".

Isn't the "script language" tag deprecated? (I found one place that said it's been "deprecated" since 1996!) Most places leave it out. But then again,

According to IANA, the "text/javascript" MIME type is obsolete. The new standard is "application/javascript". However, "application/javascript" is not supported by Internet Explorer.
