div.container should be:
BORDER-RIGHT: Black 3px solid;
BORDER-LEFT: Black 3px solid;
BORDER-TOP: Black 3px solid;
BORDER-BOTTOM: Black 3px solid;
now your container will be centered horizontally on the page.
You are creating a problem for yourself letting FP use absolute positioned containers. a) all that styling should be in the stylesheet b) absolute positioning can cause a cross browser compatibility problem as each browser interprets space and measurements differently so you need to be an experienced coder (or practice alot) to get it right.
If my CSS above doesn't solve your space at the bottom of the page you will have to resort to removing the absolute positioning of your other containers and reorder your coding in the order you want them to appear visually then sort out width and other formatting with CSS.
