---- Help w/ Opacity of relative DIV background

noyearzero - 2:28 am on Jun 26, 2008 (gmt 0)

hi guys, it looks like this question has been answered but i have a similar one.

i want what the same thing...but instead of 0% opacity...i want 75%.

so basically i have my background image. my main div centered on the page. i want it to be light blue and only very slightly transparent. Then i want the content of that div to be fully opaque (text, pictures). i tried putting another div inside my main div that was position:relative. this works in IE but not firefox. is there any work arounds? right now i have it set to translucent in IE but solid light blue in FF.

i know i can accomplish what i want by making the background image of the main div a semi transparent .png file. i'm hoping for an html fix since its easier to change in the future.
