I've started advertising in AdWords about a week ago and I'm hella frustrated. Can somebody guide me in the right direction? Here's what my frustrations are:

1. Why do people set their max bid to $3, $4, $5 per click? I'm pretty sure nobody converts that well I don't care if you giving out free gold.

2. Many times I don't see my listing in the search results for the keywords that I've specified in my AdWords setup. ( Yes, I do browse all sponsored links and it's still not there ).
