---- How does one get back into the Google database?

Wow! Sorry about that. I missed that "duplicate sites" restriction some where. I first saw it in sites that sell perfume and sites that sell watches. A few years back, Magahous and dirtcheapdrives were identical except for the "front page" or index page.

I should explain... I am trying to supplement my Social Security by performing very local computer service. I have one Domain hosted elsewhere and a similarly named domain as backup (which is the FrontPage source on my own PC connected through Time Warner cable.) To call this a budget operation is an understatment.

I have ocassional outages and can switch the url in my Google AdWords Since my main hosting service is placed near Miami, I was down for 6 days recently. I was able to redirect my ads to my local PC.

Being a one man, low overhead operation, the high costs of clicks is being hurtful. The regional and national players in computer service are competing for the same space I am.

This brings up an interesting question...
regarding "duplicate." Is it legitmate if I have the front page substantially different, but the rest of the pages the same? I can easily do that by having an index.htm and an index.html, and set my local Apache to default to the other one.

Thanks!
Carl
