I can't really speak for the SERPS, since I'm not involved with the search side of Google's business - but I should mention that having two AdWords accounts advertising identical sites & having two ads appear for a given search is, for certain, counter to the AdWords Terms and Conditions. AWA
...I have Google Adwords account for each. I have identical ad groups in each. I often get both adds displayed at the same time which is what I want... No search engine wants to deliver duplicate content to its customers, and they all have different means of handling this problem, but you should never create "identical" pages or sites in an attempt to gain exposure. That is just asking for trouble, and may eventually cause your sites to be permanently banned from the SERPS.
