Where do I stand using ad text and keywords such as "Widget A is a great alternative to Widget B" in an Adwords campaign where Widget B is considered the market leader and isn't currently sold by us* and Widget A is a like-for-like alternative/replacement by a different manufacturer.
I've got a feeling that this is border-line shady, but have been unable to find any answers on Google.
*The manufacturer switched from a non-exclusive to an exclusive distributorship in our country and we lost out. Their name is trademarked, but the model number isn't - we've successfully used Adwords to promote Widget B in the past.
