I just took over management of an already established Adwords account that was running last year and paused for a few months. At first it seemed that the account was pretty well structured until I looked into the keywords where I am finding they were running keywords with exact match inside broad match - all in one keyword and many have a 10/10 QS.
So the keyword looks something like this: affordable [blue and green] widgets
I thought when you did something like this that Google would just revert to broad match, so I edited a couple of the keywords to remove the brackets and the QS instantly went down to 4 ...what the heck?
I am curious what you guys think about that? Do you think it's just a lag in the QS indicator and it will go back to QS10 or maybe it had removed the keywords in brackets from the keyword?
Should I just leave it as-is? I am curious as to what on earth it's actually showing on : broad vs. ?
