It seems no market niche is safe from Google's tentacles these days, even a free service like NORAD's Santa Tracker has been bumped down and boxed in by Google's own links in the search engine's results pages.
A search on Google for "santa tracker" shows an Adwords Ad prompting users to "Track Santa Online" in the #1 position -- the ad is from google.com
It seems Google lost out to Microsoft as the lead partner of NORAD's Santa Tracker -- so rather than "provide users with the best results", (as Google purports is their mission in search), and send user's to the the real Santa Tracker -- Google is running it's own -- and wrapping the NORAD serps between Adwords ads and a side-bar with links to Google+ pages about the NORAD site.
On the other side of the fence, the real (NORAD) Santa Tracker site, ( [noradsanta.org...] ), has removed the Google logo from the partners page, and althought it does provide links to "Santa's" YouTube, Facebook and Twitter pages, it does not provide a link to the Google+ page.
I hope Larry, Sergey and Eric remember that he [Santa] is, "making a list, checking it twice, gonna find out who's naughty or nice"...
