I see you are a long timer here at webmaster world but a newbie to adwords. Be careful, adwords will eat your lunch if you let it. But if you watch the budget you will be safe.. But just remember for real estate... its Location.. Location... Location for adwords its Quality Score... Quality Score.... Quality Score.... LOL.
Be sure to study the heck out of how to get the quality score up there, else your cost per click will put you out of business and the 50 cent clicks that you started with will jump to 9 bucks a pop as soon as google sees you don't really understand....
So make sure:
1. Ad matches the keyphrase
2. The keyphrase is relevent on the landing page.
3. And keep those ad groups small and tightly pointed..
I am experimenting with a php program that tailors the landing page to the ad and keyphrase making them marry up no matter what the keyword is... in other words it builds the landing page on the fly and there is nothing wrong with that as long as the landing page is very relevant to the ad and to the keyphrase.... I am a programmer and love to experiment with making the wagon wheel more round....LOL.
Good luck.... and watch that budget...
hell most folks begin with a coupon for $100 to use to play to get paste first few snags all the while letting google pay for your training... but that 100 bucks don't last long and its very dangerous to try to sneak in another one on the same account... you might get away with it a few months later..
