Be careful what you wish for....

While I've always gotten a higher CTR when in a premium spot, I have NOT noticed higher sales.

I believe it's because people don't buy at the first site they encounter and maybe even more importantly, the entire row you premium ad sits in is clickable.

I think those premium ads generate a lot of "accidental" clicks from anyone who gets too close to the rather large "hot spot". I know I've clicked them (including mine) by accident).

AWA, I don't see any advantage to having the entire cell clickable. It's enough having the font size one larger. I try to get out of the "premium spots" sometimes by downbidding a bit. I'd rather be perched atop the column ideally!
