Ok, I'll admit it. I am a seething, downright nasty, horrible person who sells backlinks for a living.
Or at least that is what Google and probably half of the webmasters on this site might think about me and my practices.
But the fact of the matter is that what I do is entirely legal and in demand by a number of entrepreneurs out there.
Anyways long story short... I just decided to fire up ye olde AdWords account for the first time in a long time... (I had used them for years before, but not for the past 6 months or so.)
I input my backlink selling website, created 3 simple text ads, added about 700 seo related keywords, and within 24 hours I received this message at the top of my account on a bright red background:
Your Google AdWords account has been permanently suspended for repeated violation of AdWords or Landing Page and Site policies in this or a related account.
What on earth do you think might have prompted that?
I never had an ad unapproved, I have never tried to deceive anybody, all I was doing was pushing users to a landing page that encouraged them to sign up for a free trial.
Is there any way to appeal?
Is this not a blatant example of an anti-competitive or anti-business practice?
Google doesn't like me, so I can't promote my legal product through their website?
EDIT: On second thought... one of my customers just messaged me asking if they could promote their affiliate link through adwords... I have about 5,000 users who actively promote their affiliate links... could it be that many of them have already tried to promote via adwords and now my site/URL is flagged/banned from adwords because of my affiliate's practices?
