So my Q3 2011 glossy "performance review" arrived today in the snail mail from Google Adwords. It's a huge waste of glossy print showing me information such as how many impressions and clicks my ads received.
Interestingly enough given that Google has full access to my analytics on these same sites that had adwords running on them, they completely leave out the fact that the AVERAGE USER SESSION time from the traffic they delivered from adwords was FIVE seconds or less!
They don't mention the fact that they still have a disasterous click fraud issue they have never managed to fix.
Why is a company claiming to be as green as they think they are sending out a slick report that weighs over an ounce in ink and paper and gloss? They fluff up the "results" but leave out the obvious - none of the traffic converted to sales.
In the meantime, our relevant link partners for the same sites have grown to just over 200 links and the average user session from those links is over ten minutes long.
Articles such as:
is further proof Google is sure to have tough times ahead.
Did any of you get this glossy report? What do you think of it?
