About 16 months ago I had lengthy conversations with google adwords employees who "wanted my business" and they were very agressive about it.

We were spending like 5K per month and it was revealed to me that this was about the bottom limit - and they would be happy to help me out.

Now, I am spending 10X that much and they have NEVER returned a phone call to me.

others in other divisions of where I work spend maybe 10X more and claim they spend more of their time educating the new Google employees than getting any value out of the relationship. (and they keep spending the money because they know, as do many of us, that there is good ROI if you know what you are doing!)

all the agents I knew (we had a nice relationship) have all disappeared - their phone numbers are disconnected and they do not reply to their emails.

this is just plainly astounding.

wish I was at SMX to get the backstory from an actual Google Employee (or ExGoogle)- or maybe they don't go to conferences anymore as well?
