you might see Google is doing quite a bit of the gaming itself.
Google is gaming outland. You bet they are. It's the same game every successful company plays and it's called generating profits. It's called keeping shareholders happy. It's called continued growth.
I am not a Gorg cheerleader. Not by any means. MayDay stuck it up in me and broke it off. A site that consistently recorded 7K unique a day in traffic suddenly fell to around 4k. The traffic went and the revenue that traffic generated went with it. I've probably got a bigger bone to pick with google than most people on this board but I'm not going there because that's not my job. My job is to react and adapt. I'm also looking into hiring a couple of psychics so in the future I can see this crap coming and already be in place when it hits.
My game isn't googles game. They've got their own and I'm just a part-time participant in it. When they change the rules (which is their right and a right I agreed to when I signed up) there isn't anything I can do about that. I can't make them change things back. What I can do is mind my own store and that's what I'm doing.
I have a business relationship with google. I signed a contract with them when I checked that box that indicated I agreed to their terms. I don't go to bed with google at night though. They don't wake up in the morning and fix me pancakes, although they probably should. It's business. Don't take it personally. Don't rant and rave about how they fuucked you. It's their game, their ball, their court.. all you're doing is participating.
Keep it in perspective. That's what I do... or try to anyway...
