I'm back again with an update that I think will be of the 'good news' variety.

Yesterday afternoon, the AdWords Editor team emailed me asking If I'd post the information quoted below for you all. (Unfortunately, I missed that email until a short time ago, due to a focus on the Advertiser Feedback Report yesterday evening. Ironic, no?)

Quoting that message:

We're happy to report that the service release we promised last week is now available for download. Version 6.5.1 includes the following four fixes: - My Client Center accounts can now use the Keyword Opportunities tool. - When installing AdWords Editor for the first time, it's now possible to accept the Terms of Service. - Campaigns without ad groups can now be downloaded and posted. - On Macs, long menu names (such as 'Export Selected Campaigns and Ad Groups') are no longer shortened. Upgrading to version 6.5.1 is optional. If the issues above aren't relevant to you, there's no need for you to upgrade. If you wish to download version 6.5.1, you don't need to uninstall version 6.5 first. Just visit [google.com...] and click 'Download AdWords Editor.' The update won't affect your comments or unposted changes. Thank you for your feedback!

Please note that this information has also been posted on the AdWords Editor Forum - which is announcement only - on Google Groups. This forum is a good resource, in my opinion, for all you dedicated AE users. Although I suspect that as a Google employee I should not link to it per the charter for WebmasterWorld's AdWord forum, perhaps another member might want to do so.

On a related subject, I've learned that the AE team has committed themselves to watching this forum next time I am on vacation and they launch something. ;) (OK, actually they'll be watching during all launches.)
