I think the greater question is, Why is the traffic estimator so consistently off in its estimates?

I don't ask that sarcastically, but seriously. For those of us who manage huge campaigns across Overture & Google, it's become clear that a) Google's traffic estimator is usually off; and b) that inaccuracy makes it hard to do statistically sound modeling.
