Yeah, I've been wondering who KyleTroy was myself! ;)

The last time I heard, the default CTR assigned to a new keyword in a new group is 1%, or possibly somewhere around the "average." (I've been told both.) AdWords Advisor? What's up with this one lately?

The short answer is that your new keyword is assigned the current average CTR for that keyword.

There are a couple of threads active, where eWhisper has been drilling down for additional details, BTW.
