Hi KyleTroy and AdWords Advisor (who are you, anyway :) ),

I've found that the concept of "losing positions" when rebuilding a campaign is a kind of recurring theme in my correspondence.

For whatever reason, many advertisers feel that they've "built up" and "earned" their positions and don't want to "lose" them by reorganizing.

I always recommend reorganizing whenever it makes sense to do so, and forgetting about the potential consequences of "losing position"! It does not typically take long at all to regain one's favorable positions.

The last time I heard, the default CTR assigned to a new keyword in a new group is 1%, or possibly somewhere around the "average." (I've been told both.) AdWords Advisor? What's up with this one lately? One thing is for sure, you don't get assigned 0% as some seem to believe.
