In the new system, there's no way to re-create the flexibility with consistency that the old broad match had. Slud, I agree on both counts. :) Let me clarify my previous statement a bit: To maximise ROI most experienced PPC users will primarily use phrase & exact match.
Even for AdWords veterans the previous broad match was a useful tool to have in the toolbox.
