I have not posted in this forum yet, but I just found something interesting in a search that I am curious about and would be interested in any comments.
I typed my URL into the Yahoo Search Engine, just to see how my site name was doing in search results and was baffled when the 5th entry on the first page of results was for an Amazon ad for a product that I do carry, but I do not advertise on Amazon or use that site for my business. So why would my website as a search term bring up an Amazon listing. So I checked the Amazon page coding and discovered a widget that was tracking hits when anyone using Yahoo used my URL as a search term.
So Amazon is attempting to lure customers away from my site by using my site's name as a search term. I think that's as low as it gets.
Talk about stealing from widows and orphans. Why don't those big bullies pick on someone their own size.
Is this typical for Amazon? Does everyone do that?
