Well, im not sure how to answer that, but in a logic way - you are the one who is basically providing the service which you and your affiliates are promoting , whether you are the merchant, or have a business relationship with the merchant. Anyway, you are the source, they may drive traffic away from you, but they are not competing with you, and they bring you sales. Are you trying to establish yourself as a affiliate program o?I think as affiliate program you should try to focus on that.
