I have been doing local craft fairs and they are really not too good. My product is custom so they can't take it home with them. I have had several people order and I ship the pictures to them. I felt that the money and time the fairs took were not worth the effort.Retail now is out of the question because of retailer's greed in more than doubling the price of the product. I have sold to small gift shops and boutiques , and home parties for years. The elements that are required to produce each picture have risen in cost and I feel that I can't lower my price and I don't think average people will spend a lot of money for wall decor for kid's rooms.So I was only left with my website as a potential way to generate business.
I also have old customers who always call when they need a special gift.
So it is back to the website and getting more traffic. With the new photography which is almost completed the site will be very professional===in the homey way that it is intended to be.I want to talk to the customers and paint something very special for them.
