If it were a simple instruction I would have understood you. But I appreciate your help.
site:example.com -inurl:www brings up 7 results, with the correct homepage at the top. site:example.com brings up the majority of results (i know you didnt ask me to search it) And with WWW brings only 6 pages, with the warning from google that similar pages have been omitted from the search.
I had actually setup my .htacess file today to redirect to solve this issue, however I was redirecting from non-www to www, so just removed it the code.
Would whether www was included or not affect the page coming up in search results? Even if theres duplicate content, doesnt one have to come up? Or am I being penalized for having duplicate content? The site was like 3rd in search, and now the homepage isnt even indexed.
