If the non-existing linking comes into play on a massive scale
Missed this post when it first came out. But the timing is good, because I noticed just recently-- maybe a week or two back?-- that google must have got piwik figured out. At least it no longer claims that my art studio's site links to my own site from every single page.
:: detour to wmt here to make sure it's still counting the one "real" link ::
à propos of nothing: if a page calls itself blahblah/index.html in the URL, links from that page will be counted twice. Once from blahblah/ and once from the full name. One of the oldest pages on my son's site links to one of the oldest pages on mine. He does not listen to his mother when it comes to URL format ;)
