I suppose it would be idle to ask why the newbies' forum isn't positioned where newbies would see it first of all? (File alongside: Why is the Supporters forum even visible to non-supporters? Isn't that like a php/bb forum having the Moderators Only forum in plain view? I guess you could stand just inside the door and make faces at passers-by...)

About 1/3 of the way down the list you get to WebmasterWorld. The subforum, not the overall site. Around the middle of this list is a category called New to Web Development. And if there's a unifying theme to the questions posted here-- or the newness of the askers-- I'm ### if I can find it :)
Or, for variety's sake, you could scroll all the way down to Local, which does not mean what I originally thought it did (special issues around sites targeting a narrow geographic range) but, I guess, Internal. Some people like to introduce themselves in the Community Center. ("My name is John S. I am a webmaster.")

He's in for an unpleasant surprise, then, because the time for editing posts runs out three minutes before you notice the crucially omitted "not". Or the unwanted smiley making mincemeat of your carefully crafted sample code.
