Essentially there's no difference other than conceptualizing what all the piece put together will look like to a search engine. Server generated pages tend to produce incredibly sloppy code. You have to watch out not to have things like overly repetitive Titles and meta descriptions, duplicated tags such as having two Titles or two html tags. Watch for nested tags too. The final output should still be able to validate fairly cleanly, somehow.
