I've seen nothing but great results with source ordered content. The first good thing is never seeing a stupid set of menu labels being shown as a snippet in the search results! The next good thing is seeing a lower bounce rate from slow page loads - usable and informative content just bombs into the user's window almost instantly.

And a third good thing, it certainly seems like SOC URLs tend to rank well. So well that I would not consider any kind of split run test - why mess with success?

Downside - there's a downside? Can't think of one.
