Ok, I'm now on my 3rd SEO company, after ditching the last two, and its already started to annoy me.

I’ve had sponsored links and guaranteed position services from them, and it just seems to be a nightmare. They tell you that they will take away the stress and time-consuming submissions, which are required to get you well placed on G. This seems to be complete rubbish, as I spend probably the same amount of time chasing them up, to get my site back up to the position I have paid for!

The company I am currently using (and seriously considering dumping) have offered me optimised pages, which will go on my site, which they will submit. The pages they created for my site are a mockery! They look like they were created in MS word and saved as HTML. I work for a design company. I wonder if this SEO company know what the phrase "first impressions" means? Even if my site got to no1 on google, I wouldn't be surprised if someone looked at it and said "ugh! I'm going to the next company as they look more professional".

Has anyone else had this sort of trouble with SEO companies? If so I'd be interested to hear what everyone thinks: are they just a complete waste of time and money?!
