I think it make sense to go with paid listings. It's going to get horrid for all of us when the rest of the world really gets a hang of the net and we have to compete with someone in every other house on the planet making webpages. Yes, it's about monopoly but I really can't think of a better way to protect it. At least by bidding on terms, we can keep some of the potential mavericks in the 3rd world from eating from our plate. Some of us now, in spite of the difficulties can make a putsch in the engines, but I don't care to compete in a "free" environment with the repressed masses of the world.
