the so-called secure Apple OS is just FUD
FUD = fear uncertainty and doubt ... weird use of the term. It's normal use is to describe over the top proclaims of things that are unsafe, like you just did. Not to describe claims of being (more) secure (than others).
Aside of that it's good practice to shutdown non-essential public facing interfaces that are under attack and might be vulnerable.
Moreover the security of the OS used on their servers has nothing to do with a website application itself being vulnerable.
