find my iPhone/iPad/mac is extremely powerful.
I haven't enabled it. Just looked too alarming. "Where'd I leave the handset of the cordless phone?" is about my limit. Besides, the iPad hardly ever leaves the house.
(So what's it for? a) because father decided I should have one, and who's going to argue with an 80-year-old parent?, and b) so's I can take it to bed with me and consult the dictionary when needed. Oh, and c) so I can consult pdf's of -- haha-- map to mother's home du jour without having to wait until we're within range of a working transmitter.)
it still showed me directions to that place in Kansas
