Palm is a small company. About 1000 employees. They've done on a small budget what Apple, Nokia, and Google could not.
They only have about 590 millions in the bank. That doesn't buy you the promotion muscle needed to let people know about your product when you're fighting with companies like Google and Apple that get free publicity just because they are media darlings.
Sales has nothing to do with webOS and Palm's quality. Nothing. It's the best mobile OS EVER CREATED. It's simply the best. And I'm far from the only one to have said it. Anyone who knows about mobiles seriously know they have the best mobile OS.
They've innovated on OS but even on practicality. Did you know that I can charge my Palm Pre wirelessly without plugging a wire into it? Did you know Palm is the only company to have done 15 + cloud updates automatically to users' devices at least once a month in several countries, using different phone models (Pixi, Palm Pre, Pixi Plus, Palm Pre Plus), and network (GSM, CDMA). Unlike Android, all users are expected to be on the same OS at any time, with the longest discrepancy having been two months max? Right now, every one is on the latest version of webOS.
My entire feelings for Palm are posted here. I'm a believer - [webmasterworld.com...]
