I do the marketing for a company that supplies a range of services.
We did have a very able webmaster who left some time ago and after a long time his position has been filled by someone I have very little faith in.
Since I myself am not technically savvy I'd like to ask your opinion on something.
We have added a new service and all I have asked him to do is create a new page with existing text and an existing picture in exactly the same fashion as the other services and also then create an option from our services page linking to that page. That's it, there are no extra links, bells or whistles. He has the text (about 100 words) and he has the picture and it would be the same template (which is very simple) as the others already present.
He has told me this will take him 3 to 4 hours and that's not even live, just on the test site.
I think that seems incredibly like a lot of time for what seems a very basic request. It's been prioritised so there is nothing standing in his way.
Am I being unreasonable in expecting this to to take a fraction of that time?
