Hi Mack, thanks for the reply, but after some more exploration of WHM I was able to resolve this.

For future readers, the answer in WHM was to go to DNS Functions >> Edit DNS Zone and from there select my hostname and click Edit. I then found where the IP address is listed next to the "A" record type, changed the IP to the correct address and clicked Save. Voila, hostname and issue resolved.
