Um... I dont know, specifically. I think that what matters MORE (or what carries more weight) is the quality of your content, the link strategy you employ, that you "ping" and make sure your feed is listed in all of the Feed Directories, etc.

If you focus on building a solid "website", then the SEO will be natural for the most part.

Now all of that said, having your own domain and using WordPress gives you much more control, AND gives you a more professional appearance on the web. In the long run, it just makes more sense to go with WordPress. Blogger is having a lot of problems with SPLOGS (spam blogs) so I see how that might affect blogger users overall down the road. Just some forward thinking for you.
